| 002:153 | O you who believe, seek help through patience and the contact-method, God is with the patient ones. | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo istaAAeenoo bialssabri waalssalati inna Allaha maAAa alssabireena |
| 002:154 | And do not say of those who are killed in the sake of God that they are dead; no, they are alive but you do not perceive. | Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tashAAuroona |
| 002:155 | And We will test you with some fear and hunger, and a shortage in money and lives and fruits. And give good news to those who are patient. | Walanabluwannakum bishay-in mina alkhawfi waaljooAAi wanaqsin mina al-amwali waal-anfusi waalththamarati wabashshiri alssabireena |
| 002:156 | The ones who, when afflicted with adversity, they Say: "We are to God and to Him we will return." | Allatheena itha asabat-hum museebatun qaloo inna lillahi wa-inna ilayhi rajiAAoona |
| 002:157 | To these will be a bonding from their Lord and a mercy, they are the guided ones. | Ola-ika AAalayhim salawatun min rabbihim warahmatun waola-ika humu almuhtadoona |
| 002:158 | The camel and goat heavy with milk are amongst God's decrees. So whosoever makes Pilgrimage to the sanctuary, or is merely passing through, commits no error that he should partake of them. And whoever donates for goodness, then God is Appreciative, Knowledgeable. | Inna alssafa waalmarwata min shaAAa-iri Allahi faman hajja albayta awi iAAtamara fala junaha AAalayhi an yattawwafa bihima waman tatawwaAAa khayran fa-inna Allaha shakirun AAaleemun |
| 002:159 | Surely those who conceal what We have sent down to them which was clear, and the guidance, after God Had made it clear in the Scripture; these will be cursed by God and be cursed by those who curse. | Inna allatheena yaktumoona ma anzalna mina albayyinati waalhuda min baAAdi ma bayyannahu lilnnasi fee alkitabi ola-ika yalAAanuhumu Allahu wayalAAanuhumu allaAAinoona |
| 002:160 | Except those who repent and amend and make clear; for those I will accept their repentance, for I am the One who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. | Illa allatheena taboo waaslahoo wabayyanoo faola-ika atoobu AAalayhim waana alttawwabu alrraheemu |
| 002:161 | Surely, those who have disbelieved and then died as disbelievers; they will be cursed by God, and the Angels, and all the people. | Inna allatheena kafaroo wamatoo wahum kuffarun ola-ika AAalayhim laAAnatu Allahi waalmala-ikati waalnnasi ajmaAAeena |
| 002:162 | They will abide therein, where the retribution will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved. | Khalideena feeha la yukhaffafu AAanhumu alAAathabu wala hum yuntharoona |
| 002:163 | And your god is but One god, there is no god but He; the Almighty the Most Merciful. | Wa-ilahukum ilahun wahidun la ilaha illa huwa alrrahmanu alrraheemu |
