| 003:081 | And God took a covenant from the prophets: "For what I have given you of the Scripture and wisdom, then a messenger will come to you authenticating what is with you. You will believe in him and support him." He said: "Do you testify, and agree to this burden?", they said: "We testify." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you bearing witness." | Wa-ith akhatha Allahu meethaqa alnnabiyyeena lama ataytukum min kitabin wahikmatin thumma jaakum rasoolun musaddiqun lima maAAakum latu/minunna bihi walatansurunnahu qala aaqrartum waakhathtum AAala thalikum isree qaloo aqrarna qala faishhadoo waana maAAakum mina alshshahideena |
| 003:082 | Whoever turns away after that, then they are the wicked ones. | Faman tawalla baAAda thalika faola-ika humu alfasiqoona |
| 003:083 | Is it other than God's system that they desire, when those in the heavens and the Earth have surrendered to Him voluntarily or by force? And to Him they will be returned. | Afaghayra deeni Allahi yabghoona walahu aslama man fee alssamawati waal-ardi tawAAan wakarhan wa-ilayhi yurjaAAoona |
| 003:084 | Say: "We believe in God and what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We do not make any distinction between them, and to Him we surrender." | Qul amanna biAllahi wama onzila AAalayna wama onzila AAala ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela wa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba waal-asbati wama ootiya moosa waAAeesa waalnnabiyyoona min rabbihim la nufarriqu bayna ahadin minhum wanahnu lahu muslimoona |
| 003:085 | And whoever follows other than surrender as a system, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he is of the losers. | Waman yabtaghi ghayra al-islami deenan falan yuqbala minhu wahuwa fee al-akhirati mina alkhasireena |
| 003:086 | How can God guide a people who have rejected after believing, and they witnessed that the messenger is true, and the clarity had come to them? God does not guide the wicked people. | Kayfa yahdee Allahu qawman kafaroo baAAda eemanihim washahidoo anna alrrasoola haqqun wajaahumu albayyinatu waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena |
| 003:087 | To these the punishment will be that God's curse will be upon them as well as that of the Angels and the people all together! | Ola-ika jazaohum anna AAalayhim laAAnata Allahi waalmala-ikati waalnnasi ajmaAAeena |
| 003:088 | Eternally they will abide in it, the retribution will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved. | Khalideena feeha la yukhaffafu AAanhumu alAAathabu wala hum yuntharoona |
| 003:089 | Except those who repent after this and make amends, then God is Forgiver, Merciful. | Illa allatheena taboo min baAAdi thalika waaslahoo fa-inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun |
| 003:090 | Those who have rejected after their belief then increased in rejection, their repentance will not be accepted, they are the strayers. | Inna allatheena kafaroo baAAda eemanihim thumma izdadoo kufran lan tuqbala tawbatuhum waola-ika humu alddalloona |
| 003:091 | Those who have rejected and died while they are rejecters, if the Earth full of gold were to be ransomed with it would not be accepted from any of them. For these there will be a painful retribution and they will have no supporters. | Inna allatheena kafaroo wamatoo wahum kuffarun falan yuqbala min ahadihim milo al-ardi thahaban walawi iftada bihi ola-ika lahum AAathabun aleemun wama lahum min nasireena |
